Red Nose Day was started over 30 years ago in the UK by Comic Relief, an organization that uses the power of entertainment and laughter to help fight kids poverty. All money raised goes to the Red Nose Day Fund, which helps benefit kids in the US and abroad. Red Nose Day is supported through people buying the iconic Red Nose (available exclusively at Welgreens), Red Flair and participating vender partner products. The whole event culminates with a two hour Live Special on NBC on May 26th at 9/8 Central featuring some of the biggest stars of comedy, film and music. In 2015 Walgreens raised over $8.7 million for the Red Nose Day Fund and along with NBC, over $23 million in total was raised to help fight kids poverty. This year the Rukhsana Foundation Welfare School was also a part of this. For further information about the Red Nose Day please visit rednoseday.org
